Acts of Resistance (AoR) is a feminist self-defense program for women and non-binary folks, combining psychoeducation and physical instruction, with instructors trained to adapt techniques for various physical abilities and tailor content to participants' needs.

This is a safe space for students who have been impacted by sexual violence in some way, to feel supported through their healing journey.
If you are looking to find a sense of community, belonging and support, this space is for you.

Sessions will be held in-person on Keele Campus, at 301 York Lanes, and online weekly from Tuesday, January 30, to Tuesday, April 30, 2 to 3 p.m.

Please note that this is a peer community support group and does not run as a counselling or therapy group.

As the creator and co-host of the renowned podcast "That Time of the Month," Beatrice Séguin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. This event serves as a safe and welcoming space for individuals to share their stories, concerns, and experiences while fostering a sense of care and community. A space for trans, non-binary and gender-questioning students to meet and connect.

This art and discussion-based workshop will explore community building, self-care, social and medical transition, advocacy, and safety in the current political climate. Break away from the expectations of others and redefine what these things mean to you.

This space will be facilitated by Jay Jonah, a trans-identified social worker who has over a decade of experience supporting members of the trans and non-binary communities.
