Building a peer movement - We are Hiring for 2022-2023
The Centre for Sexual Violence Response, Support and Education (The Centre) is accepting volunteer applications for our Peer Network which is comprised of three subgroups: York’s Peer Team, Glendon’s Peer Team, and the Male-Identifying Peer Team from May of 2022 to April of 2023.
Our Peer Teams will be planning outreach activities that focus on topics relating to sexual violence. These activities will include tabling and reaching out to community members to foster a culture of consent. Our objective is to increase awareness about the support available on/off campus for survivors of sexual violence.
Required Skills:
- Must be a York Student (Undergraduate, Graduate and Postdoctoral)
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
